INTERVIEW

NDM: At the point of death and the breakup of the body, (please see details here) but what happens to the mind?

Alan Jacobs: The body perishes but the subtle body (soul) rests until Ishwara (Almighty God ) preordains another life (reincarnates) for the soul's  spiritual development drawn from the appropriate latent tendencies (vasanas) preserved from previous lives.
NDM: Is rebirth into a heaven, hell, human, animal, spirit, hungry ghost realm a reality?
Alan Jacobs: Such a birth if it ever happens is still in the universal dream of unreality (Maya)
NDM: Does an enlightened person fear aging, sickness and death?
Alan Jacobs: Never- Fear has left him or her for good.

NDM: Would an enlightened person wear seductive clothing, makeup, have plastic surgery, (implants, Botox, liposuction), or even color their hair to appear younger, more attractive for their self esteem, or to attract followers, disciples/clients?

Alan Jacobs: Never . He or she are totally honest and would never deceive spiritual aspirants by appealing to their weaknesses.

NDM: Would an enlightened person take sleeping pills, drink alcohol, take recreational drugs (smoke marijuana, LSD), or medication for mood control, anxiety, depression (Prozac, or Viagra)?

Alan Jacobs: Never. He has no worries any more and sleeps a little when the body requires it.

NDM: Would an enlightened person have an aversion to harsh or desolate living conditions, isolation, desert, jungle, forest, (extreme cold or hot weather climates), fear of wild animals, such as snakes, scorpions, bears, tigers, crocodiles, sharks and spiders?

Alan Jacobs: No. He is beyond any aversions that may appear on the screen of consciousness awareness in the world dream or illusion

NDM: Can an enlightened person lose their temper, use foul language, or harsh speech, sarcasm, ridicule, make off color jokes?

Alan Jacobs: Not really. Occasionally to correct an aspiring pupil he may correct sharply to educate errors as needed but not more than that.

NDM: Would an enlightened person make a legal disclaimer for their teachings, as to not be held responsible? (Please see example below).

Alan Jacobs: No . He is beyond all fear.
